This two-owner 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 4WD sport-utility vehicle has resided long-term in California and comes with a full hardtop, two removable doors, a Kenwood audio system, and machined aluminum wheels on newer Cooper Discoverer tires. Under the hood lies a recently-tuned 4.2-liter inline-6 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in Sky Blue over a reupholstered charcoal vinyl interior, this Land Cruiser is now offered by the selling dealer with the original rear jump seats, original owners manual and dealer registration when new hardtop, 4 doors and a new complete body weatherstrip kit. and a clear California title.
The FJ40 was an open-cab, two-door, short-wheelbase sport-utility vehicle that went into production beginning in 1960 for various world markets. This California-owned North American-spec FJ40 from 1977 reportedly retains its original Sky Blue paint, accented by a white grille surround, black tubular rollbar, and black bumpers. The rear end has a spare tire on a swing-away carrier, and the sale includes an accompanying yellow factory removable hardtop.
Machined aluminum aftermarket 15-inch wheels are wrapped in newer Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires. The suspension has been lifted.
The open-cab interior is fitted with reupholstered charcoal vinyl front bucket seats and two available rear seat configurations: original jump seats as well as a newly-upholstered bench. Flooring material is black rubber, and features include a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo, a glove compartment, and a heater.
Instrumentation is held within a silver bezel and consists of a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 77K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The carbureted 4.2-liter 2F inline-6 received a recent tune-up per the selling dealer. Power is sent to all four wheels through a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
The selling dealer notes that the vehicle recently passed a California smog test. Tax and registration fees will be added for California buyers. The sale includes the original jump seats, original owners manual and dealer registration when new, hardtop, 4 doors and a new complete body weatherstrip kit.

@ClassicCarsWest – Ive sold many fj40's this year alone so i'm well aware of the market value. we never name our reserve, we only say it is always fair. the listing price is irrelevant in the case of this auction. ...
Okay. GLWS.
@49BigPine – Not sure it will work that way ClassicCarsWest. The listing says you have a reserve. If you want to strike a deal inside/outside of this auction, you should consider revealing (or releasing) the reserve or naming a price in these comments. The price listed on your website is nearly double the market value for this vehicle in this condition in this location. It is likely that you have too much "in" the truck. If making the deal is what you want, it may be tough, but you should consider naming your number or at least releasing/revealing your reserve price. This is auction is going nowhere fast. ...
