This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS two-door hardtop is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It comes with a center console, full gauges, SS wheel covers, and whitewall tires. Finished in Palomar Red over a black vinyl interior, this third-generation Impala is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
The full-sized Impala emerged as the flagship of the Chevrolet lineup in the late 1950s. The model progressed into its third generation on the General Motors B-body platform in 1961. Styling at the time included a boxier appearance; a slight revision in 1964 softened the lines once more while adding a body-color taillight panel. This Impala Super Sport two-door hardtop from 1964 was repainted Palomar Red (848). Exterior finishes show their age according to the selling dealer’s description. The exterior features quad headlights, beltline and rocker moldings, and a dual exhaust system at the rear.
Steel 14-inch wheels with full SS covers are wrapped in 205/75 whitewall tires.
The interior is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats (code 815), matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Features include a console, aluminum dash trim, and an ignition cutoff switch. The selling dealer notes that an aftermarket stereo is installed which powers up but does not produce sound.
Instrumentation includes a sweeping 120-mph speedometer, a column-mounted 6K-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. A five-digit mechanical odometer tracks mileage, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 350ci V8 transfers power to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission. The blinkers and the wheel cylinders need attention, according to the selling dealer.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The selling dealer has posted a walk around and running video of the vehicle in the carousel to the right.
Fun stuff!

@uniqueclassiccars – If you look at the trim code "815" on the data tag, that is the code for Black Bucket seats, which you can only get buckets in a SS. Regarding any rust /paint issues, please be sure to watch the video and look through all the photos in the listing, which show inside, outside and underside of the car. you will be able to see paint issues, any filler issues etc there as well. Thanks for the questions ...
Thank you for your prompt reply!

@carreraworld – So this is a true SS then and not just a badged and SS trimmed Impala? Also, with regard to the visible rust on underside, is there more than surface rust? Any other rust (or body filler) issues that a buyer would want to know of? Thank you. ...
