This one-owner 1976 Pontiac Firebird spent its first six years in winter storage and has been with the seller for 40 years. It draws power from a 350ci V8 backed by a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include an aftermarket JVC AM/FM/cassette stereo, an aftermarket 3-spoke aluminum steering wheel with a wood rim, and new aftermarket wheels and tires installed in December of 2021. This metallic maroon Firebird with a newer tan vinyl interior comes with an owner’s manual, a window sticker, and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
This rust-free Firebird was refinished in metallic maroon in 2007. Features include color-keyed urethane bumpers, dual headlights, a driver-side mirror, and color-keyed taillights with integrated reverse lights. A video of the exterior can be seen in the carousel to the right.
A set of aftermarket 12-hole aluminum wheels with chrome center caps are wrapped in radial tires. The seller notes that the wheels and tires were installed in December of 2021.
The front bucket seats, matching rear seat, and door panels are upholstered in tan vinyl. Features include a center console with a floor-mounted automatic shifter and storage compartment, tan carpeting, a tan dashboard with cracks in its surface and a brown aftermarket cover, an aftermarket JVC AM/FM/cassette radio, and a 3-spoke aluminum steering wheel with a wood rim and Pontiac horn button. The seller states that the door moldings and headliner need to be replaced. A video of the interior can be seen in the carousel to the right and shows that the glove compartment door does not match the dashboard.
A 100-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, and warning lights for the oil pressure, amps, and water temperature are located in a simulated wood grain panel ahead of the driver. The seller states the odometer shows an accurate reading of 226,789 miles.
Power is provided by a 350ci V8 backed by a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission that reportedly leaks and needs a new gasket. The seller notes that the head cover was redone and that an oil change was performed in December of 2021.
This Firebird came factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. According to the seller, the car received Ziebart protection when new.
An aftermarket repair manual, classic Firebird parts manual and original window sticker are included with the sale.
