Vehicle Story

This 1987 Chevrolet R10 2WD stepside pickup comes with Silverado amenities such as power windows, factory air conditioning, cruise control, and accent trim. This third-generation C/K-series truck has a set of American Racing wheels, a dual exhaust system, and a 5.7-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It was originally sold in Tennessee and later relocated to Kentucky and then Oklahoma where it remains today. Finished in dark blue over a charcoal vinyl and cloth interior, this R10 is now offered by the selling dealer with an accident-free CARFAX report and an Exceeds Mechanical Limits title.

The third generation, otherwise known as the Rounded Line, of Chevrolet C/K-series pickups debuted in 1973 and carried on with year-over-year changes until the introduction of the all-new GMT400 fourth-generation variant in 1987. At that time, the existing Rounded Line body style became named the R/V series and continued in production concurrently for a short time. This half-ton R10 2WD pickup from 1987 is dark blue and has a stepside body with a short bed. The cargo box shows wear and comes equipped with wooden bed planks with stainless steel hardware. The exterior features chrome bumpers with guards, window visors, bright mirror housings, a sliding rear window, polished dual exhaust finishers, and a tow receiver. The selling dealer has provided up-close imaging of specific exterior blemishes in the photo carousel.

Polished aluminum five-spoke American Racing wheels are wrapped in Versatyre CRX 4000 low-profile tires.

The Silverado-grade interior is fitted with a charcoal cloth bench seat, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. The dash is accented with silver trim. Amenities include factory air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, a tilt steering column, cruise control, and an AM/FM radio.

Instrumentation is housed within an aluminum bezel and includes an 85-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads 54K miles, although actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The 5.7-liter fuel-injected OHV V8 received an oil and filter change in December of 2021. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission.

Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.

The accident-free CARFAX report describes this vehicle as having an Exceeds Mechanical Limits title as of the time of title issuance in Kentucky in August of 2009.

Yes the A/C blows cold, a MUST here in OK, the truck doesn't need anything that I am aware of, the clutch and tranny are smooth, This is a really nice all factory equipped 87, you don't find them equipped like this very often
