Vehicle Story

This fenderless fiberglass 1933 Ford Speedstar by Bobby Alloway is powered by a 408ci stroker Ford Windsor V8 backed by an automatic transmission. Features include an independent front suspension, manual steering and brakes, a removable hardtop, electric cutouts, and front disc brakes. This two-tone black cherry pearl and red pearl Ford with a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear title.

The exterior is finished in black cherry pearl over red pearl with tan accent striping. Features include a 3-piece hood with an air intake scoop cutout and removable hood sides, a color-matched grille with a stainless insert and hidden amber turn signals, chrome mirror housings, a flip-up rear license plate, dual headlights with color-matched buckets, a one-piece windshield, molded 1939 Ford teardrop taillights, and a removable color-keyed hardtop. An exterior walkaround video can be seen in the carousel to the right.

A set of Team III Wheels ET polished aluminum wheels is wrapped in 205/60R15 BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires in the front and 25x12.50-15LT Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro radial tires at the rear.

First-generation Mustang black vinyl bucket seats are mounted to the bare floor. Carpeting needs to be installed and currently the floors are raw fiberglass gelcoat. Carpet to finish the interior will not be included with the sale. Interior features include 12-volt wiring, a floor-mounted automatic shifter with a 4-speed manual transmission shift knob, ball-milled billet aluminum brake and gas pedals, seat belts, a chrome tilt steering column topped with a 15-inch LimeWorks Sprint polished aluminum steering wheel with a black leather grip, a polished aluminum column drop, and exterior-color inner door panels and fiberglass dashboard.

Instrumentation consists of a center-mounted Auto Meter Golden Oldies gauge kit that includes a 120-mph speedometer, 7K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The odometer reads 3,100 miles but the true mileage on the vehicle is unknown.

Power is provided by a 408ci stroker Ford Windsor V8 backed by an automatic transmission. Features include an Edelbrock dual-quad carburetor setup on an Edelbrock Air-Gap aluminum manifold, Ford Racing aluminum valve covers, a polished air intake scoop, and ceramic-coated block-hugger headers. The car is shown starting up and idling in the video below.

The chassis consists of body-color frame rails, metallic gray tubular front control arms with chrome coil-over shocks, and a gloss black 8-inch Ford solid rear drive axle with adjustable chrome coil-over shocks.  A full-length dual exhaust system with electric cutouts ends at the rear axle. Braking power is provided by manual front discs and rear drums. Additional photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.

Beautiful Roadster! All it needs is the carpeting to be finished and that's easy. If it sells at this price it will be the deal of the year! What a sweet ride.

Great questions. Yes the speedo/odometer works as do all of the gauges and lights. The odometer shows the miles on it from prior to me buying it and after driving it and it’s previous life.It may have a few hundred miles on the car since rebuild. The transmission is in a OD Ford overdrive. It shifts with a low car shifter and the four speed bulb was put on for a joke. Most people wonder where the clutch is. Thanks for the question.
