This four-wheel-drive 1968 Jeep Jeepster Commando is equipped with its reportedly original 225ci V6 engine, 3-speed manual transmission, and transfer case. Features include a removable hard top, folding windshield, an AM radio, a roof rack, seat belts, manual windows and locks, and manual locking front hubs. This light olive Jeepster Commando with a white top and a tan vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear Montana title in the seller's name.
The body was refinished in light olive with a white removable hard top under previous ownership. Features include chrome front and rear bumpers, dual headlights, electric windshield wipers, a folding windshield, dual taillights with integrated reverse lights, a ball hitch, dual side mirrors, and a roof rack. The seller notes that the paint is not perfect, some previous repairs are showing age on the hood, and a small spot in the right rear quarter panel has rust-through.
A set of black steel wheels with chrome dog dish hub caps is wrapped in Sidewinder raised-white-letter radial tires. The front wheels have manual lock-out hubs.
The front bucket seats and rear seat are upholstered in tan vinyl. Features include a tan vinyl floor mat with black rubber Jeep-branded mats, seat belts, a tan steel dashboard with an AM radio, and body-color sheet metal. Additional features include a floor-mounted manual shifter and a transfer case selector.
A 110-mph speedometer, fuel and coolant temperature gauges, and warning lights for the oil pressure and amperage are mounted in a silver panel ahead of the driver. The odometer reportedly reads 66K miles. The seller believes this to be accurate, but the true mileage is unknown.
Power is provided by the reportedly original 225ci V6 engine and paired with the reportedly original 3-speed manual transmission and transfer case. Underhood features include manual brakes and steering, a chrome open-element air cleaner, and cast-iron exhaust manifolds.
This Jeepster came from the factory equipped with four-wheel drive and solid front and rear axles. Stopping power is provided by manual drum brakes.
