Vehicle Story

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro two-door hardtop was the recipient of a 2007 restoration that included over 500 hours of labor and encompassed a $25,000 paint job, a refurbished interior, Vintage Air air conditioning, new glass, and other upgrades. Under the accent-striped hood lies a rebuilt 327ci V8 with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, a new radiator, and replacement internals sending power to the rear end through an upgraded rebuilt TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Refinished in black with accent white striping over a black vinyl interior, this first-year Camaro is now offered with a set of uninstalled 15-inch American Racing wheels and a clear California title in the seller’s name.

The first Camaro went on sale in September 1966 for the 1967 model year, classified as a pony car in the midsize segment on the General Motors F-body platform. This Camaro two-door hardtop from that initial year was subject to a full restoration that was completed in 2007 and involved a $25,000 repaint in black with white accent striping. The exterior is reportedly rust-free and received new glass and rubber throughout. Features include bright rocker moldings, a rear spoiler, and a custom dual exhaust setup. The seller notes that there is a screw pushing through the metal on a door panel, a chrome chip on the rear bumper, a few dings on the passenger side, and a stone chip on the hood that has been touched up.

Aluminum 17-inch Rallye wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force tires. Power steering is installed along with a newer Lee Power Steering 12:1 close-ratio steering box. The suspension received newer bushings bearings, ball joints, and springs. Stopping power comes from power-assisted brakes with discs up front and drums in the rear. The seller notes that the 17-inch wheels rub under heavy cornering.

The refurbished interior is fitted with reupholstered black vinyl bucket front seats, split by a matching center console and coordinated with the dash, headliner, door panels, carpeting, and rear bench. Amenities include a Vintage Air air conditioning system and an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth connectivity and auxiliary speakers behind the seats.

Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauge. According to the seller, the odometer shows 63,694 miles presently, and while total chassis mileage is unknown, the vehicle has been driven approximately 2,900 miles since the completion of the rebuild.

The rebuilt 327ci V8 received new heads, internals, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and a new intake and camshaft as part of its mechanical overhaul. The alternator and battery are newer, along with the stainless steel fuel tank, radiator, and water pump. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console-shifted rebuilt TH350 3-speed automatic transmission.

Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel. The seller notes that the underbody and interior floors have been coated with LizardSkin spray-on noise and heat insulation.

The sale includes an uninstalled set of 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust aluminum wheels without the tires shown above.

The car was fully restored when I purchased her a year and a half ago. Since then I have added a Blue-Tooth OEM stereo.

@RadioGuyNaples – Do you have documentation for the miles (original)? Also, why does it have AZ plates if it's a California car. Who is it titled too and which state? ...

The mileage is documented in the restoration receipts. The car was purchased out of state from a previous owner and is currently residing in, licensed and titled in California.
