This 1972 Chevrolet Suburban 3-door project vehicle is powered by a GM Performance Parts 502ci V8 engine backed by a Jet Performance T-700 automatic transmission. Features include factory front and rear air conditioning with a new compressor and hoses, power brakes, power steering, 1976 Suburban 3/4-ton running gear, color-keyed sport mirror caps, a new Diehard battery, bucket seats, and manual windows. This metallic green and white Suburban with a gray leather interior is available now and comes with receipts, documentation, and a clear Georgia title in the seller's name.
The paint and bodywork on this Suburban were completed by Shapells Custom Paint and Body in Jacksonville, Florida in 2015. The exterior was refinished in metallic green with a white roof and lower body. Features include dual headlights with a metallic green grille, a chrome front bumper with fog lights, color-keyed sport mirror caps, a color-keyed rear bumper, and a trailer hitch. Additional features include rear barn doors, tinted glass, and dual taillights with reverse lights. According to the seller, new metal was installed in the quarter panels, fenders, spare tire well, and doors in 2015. The seller also notes a rust spot on the driver-side door sill, the presence of rust bubbles, and holes in the driver-side footwell.
A set of 12-hole aluminum wheels are wrapped in radial tires.
The original interior of this Suburban has been removed and replaced with the tan leather front seats and carpet from a 1999 Tahoe, both of which show stains and wear from age. Features include gray door panels with manual windows, a black dashboard with a gray top pad, a column-mounted automatic shifter, power steering, power brakes, a black 4-spoke steering wheel, and cold factory front and rear air conditioning. According to the seller, the entire interior needs to be replaced.
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located in a black panel ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 29,305 miles, but the true mileage is unknown.
Power is provided by a GM Performance Parts 502ci V8 engine with 70K miles on it and processed by a Jet Performance T-700 automatic transmission with 4K miles on it. Features include power steering, power brakes with a new brake master cylinder, factory air conditioning with a new compressor and hoses, black valve covers, a chrome open-element Edelbrock air cleaner, a new DieHard AGM battery, a Jet Performance Rochester Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor, and an aluminum Edelbrock Performer intake.
The original running gear for this Suburban has been replaced with the 3/4-ton running gear from a 1976 Suburban. It consists of an independent front suspension and a solid 3/4-ton rear axle. Additional photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.
Receipts and documentation are included as part of the sale. Videos of the vehicle can be found below.

@Allengastinger – O.K. So the drivers side oi the vehicle has rust and the entire interior needs to be replaced/refreshed. I have some questions: How far does the rust penetrate the floorboard? Is there anything else that does not work as it should? Are there any other issues that would prevent the Suburban from being a daily driver? this is a great looking vehicle in need of some special attention . GLWTA ...
I just found the rust about a week ago -- after I had submitted it to AutoHunter...I saw a little bubble on the sill and scrapped it. I have not pulled the carpet out of the front to see how far it goes. I do not know any more than what we see in the photo. The floor feels solid but it will need some new steel to make it right. I think I caused it by getting into the truck with wet shoes at the boat ramp (salt water). I am sure it was not there when the all the steel was repaired in 2015. The truck could be a daily driver with no problem. I have only put about 3000 miles on it in the past two years. I live on a small island an don't use the truck for much except taking the boat to the boat ramp or an occasional trip to Lowes. It's a strong truck. New interior would make it nice...a little more would make it show.
