This restored 1938 Plymouth 5-window coupe has been with the current owner for 19 years and is powered by a 218ci flathead inline-6 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Features include an upgraded 12-volt electrical system, an alternator, halogen headlights, an aftermarket turn signal assembly, and a hidden aftermarket stereo. This Mesa Beige and Maple Gold Plymouth with a tan mohair interior is available now and comes with an Ontario vehicle permit in the seller's name.
The body was refinished in 2004 in Mesa Beige and Maple Gold with painted pinstripes. Features include chrome bumpers with over-riders, halogen headlights, an aftermarket turn signal assembly, a chrome grille, dual side mirrors, rubber running boards, and dual taillights.
A set of body-color 16-inch steel wheels with Plymouth dog dish hub caps and trim rings is wrapped in Firestone whitewall bias-ply tires.
The bench seat is upholstered in tan mohair and flanked by matching door panels. Features include black carpet with black carpeted floor mats, wood door sills, manual windows, a floor-mounted 3-speed manual shifter, a hidden aftermarket stereo, a black dashboard, and an aftermarket 12-volt turn signal assembly.
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage are located in a chrome panel in the center of the dashboard. The odometer reads 79,475 miles, but the true mileage is unknown.
Power is provided by a 218ci flathead inline-6 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include an updated 12-volt electrical system with an alternator, a tan block and head, a single-barrel carburetor, and a black air cleaner housing.
This Plymouth came factory-equipped with solid front and rear axles. Stopping is handled by manual drum brakes.
