RESERVE REMOVED: 1997 JAGUAR XK8 CONVERTIBLE

OVERVIEW

This 1997 Jaguar XK8 convertible sends power from its 4.0-liter V8 through a five-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. Features include air conditioning, chrome exhaust tips, an aftermarket AM/FM/Bluetooth audio system, woodgrain trim, and new tires. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The Sapphire Blue exterior is equipped with a black convertible top with a heated glass rear window, a cream-colored top boot, and dual chrome exhaust tips. The seller states that the car’s paint shows signs of imperfections including small scratches, peeling on the passenger-side door, and signs of rust on the driver-side quarter panel behind the wheel.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

This XK8 convertible sits on a set of factory chrome 17-inch wheels wrapped in new JK Tyre UX1 tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The convertible’s cockpit has beige leather seating and woodgrain trim across the dashboard. Other features include a power driver's seat, heated front seats, power mirrors and windows, a Pioneer AM/FM/Bluetooth audio system, and air conditioning. The seller states the condition of the leather upholstery is better than average and that the headlights and brake lights work but the light switch has been bypassed, requiring a separate switch to be flipped for the other lights to come on at night. A new uninstalled light switch comes with the purchase of the car.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 170-mph speedometer sits in the center of the instrument cluster, flanked by a 7,500-rpm tachometer on the left. To the right is a round dial housing the fuel level and coolant temperature readouts. A clock and gauges for the oil pressure and battery voltage are located in the middle of the dashboard. The digital odometer currently shows 102,800 miles, but there is a mileage inconsistency dated June 2018 on the CARFAX report.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION 

A 4.0-liter V8 sits under the front-hinged hood. A five-speed automatic transmission delivers the engine’s output to the rear wheels. According to the CARFAX report, the car was last serviced in 2018, but the seller states the car was serviced and given an oil change within the last year.
