This one-owner 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS two-door hardtop is powered by a 327ci V8 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt positraction rear end. It was purchased from Butler Chevrolet Incorporated by its first owner in December of 1966 with add-ons including an electric clock, a positraction rear end, a deluxe steering wheel, and undercoating. Finished in maroon with a black roof over a black vinyl interior, this first-year Camaro is now offered by the selling dealer with the original unsigned title, dealer invoice, dealer broadcast sheet, build sheet, owner's manual, Protect-O-Plate plate warranty booklet, and a clear Connecticut title.
Offered as a two-door hardtop coupe or a convertible, the original Camaro pony car debuted in 1967 as a 2+2 sports car on the General Motors F-body platform. This Camaro hardtop from that initial model year has a rust-free body with original panels that are finished in two-tone maroon with a satin black roof in place of the previous vinyl top. The selling dealer states that some areas of the body have been touched up but the paint is believed to be largely original. The body features hideaway headlamps, chrome bumpers, and RS badges.
Silver 14-inch steel Rallye wheels with polished trim rings are set inside of Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires.
The cabin is fitted with black vinyl bench seats with white accent piping, a fold-down center armrest, black door panels, and a black padded dash. Features include a push-button AM radio, a heater, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The selling dealer notes some wear on interior finishes that is consistent with age.
Instrumentation is comprised of a 120-mph speedometer along with auxiliary gauges and an 8K-rpm column-mounted Sun Tach tachometer. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 84K miles, which the selling dealer believes to be original.
The 327ci V8 was treated to a mechanical refresh under prior ownership. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt positraction rear end.
The sale includes the original unsigned title, dealer invoice, dealer broadcast sheet, build sheet, owner's manual, and Protect-O-Plate plate warranty booklet. A $35 wire fee will be added to the purchase price as well as a $100 fee for international transactions.
