This 1951 Ford F-1 pickup is a performance-upgraded restomod with LS3 power, a Viking adjustable coil-over suspension, and Wilwood disc brakes. The upgraded 6.2-liter V8 has been paired with a 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch Ford rear end with a locking differential. This restored pickup has been owned by the seller for six years and features Vintage Air climate control, a modern stereo, and custom upholstery. Finished in two-tone burgundy over a saddle vinyl interior, this F-1 is now offered by the selling dealer with build documentation and a clear California title.
The F-Series lineup of Ford pickups was introduced for the 1948 model year on a new chassis that was built specifically for medium and heavy-duty applications. Styling changes in the following years included revisions to the running boards in 1949, smoothed bedsides in 1950, and the introduction of a restyled grille, relocated headlights, and an enlarged rear window in 1950. This F-1 restomod from 1951 was repainted two-tone burgundy and features a 6.5-foot bed with a hardwood floor and stainless steel hardware. It reportedly spent time racing competitively under prior ownership and features a roll bar, dual mirrors, side-exit exhausts, and an embossed tailgate. The selling dealer has provided images showing various stages of the interior and exterior restoration process.
The 17-inch front and 18-inch rear American Racing Salt Flat aluminum wheels are shod with BFGoodrich G-Force tires at all four corners. The body rides on a boxed frame and the suspension has been upgraded with roll bars, a Heidts independent front suspension with drop spindles, and a four-link rear end with Viking adjustable coilovers installed at both ends. Stopping power comes from disc brakes and Wilwood four-piston front calipers.
The cab interior is fitted with a reupholstered saddle vinyl bench seat, custom door panels, kick panels, gray wool carpets, and a six-point roll cage. Amenities include air conditioning from Vintage Air and a Bluetooth-compatible stereo with JBL speakers and a subwoofer.
Instrumentation includes vintage-look AutoMeter readouts for the 120-mph speedometer, 8K-rpm tachometer, and fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 11K miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The upgraded 6.2-liter LS3 V8 dates to 2008 and features variable valve timing. Upgrades include Corvette-sourced LS3 exhaust manifolds and a 32-gallon fuel cell. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch Ford rear end with a locking differential. A cold start is available for viewing below as are three driving videos.
Several photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes a file of build documentation and photos.

Greetings All. Thank you for the interest in this amazing 51 Ford F1 Resto-mod. It is an absolute stud of a cruiser. Its builder is local to us here in San Diego & is just one of the very nicest fellows we could ever want to work with. It is one of the finest resto-mods you'll find. It may not be a brand spanking new example with paint so fresh its still wet... but it is one of the very best builds we have ever seen. Many classic cars are offered to us for sale or consignment which we just have to turn away. This is one we all looked at each other over and went ... "ABSOLUTELY!" The power is incredible. The should is fantastic. The ride is comfortable. Its looks are impressive! It turns heads left & right & makes everyone raise their eyebrows and smile. This truck is rock solid and you will thoroughly enjoy owning it. This truck leaves the rest in the dust.
