Vehicle Story

This 1962 Ford Falcon sedan has been with the seller for 11 years and is powered by a 170ci inline-6 engine connected to a rebuilt head and an upgraded 2-speed automatic transmission. Features include manual steering, manual brakes, air conditioning, manual windows, and an AM/FM radio. This Viking Blue Falcon with a white roof and a blue vinyl interior is available now and comes with the window sticker, purchase receipt, an uninstalled pair of wheels and tires, and a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.

This Falcon was refinished in Viking Blue with a white roof in the early 2000s under previous ownership. Features include deluxe trim, chrome bumpers, an aluminum grille, dual headlamps, fender ornaments, hood scoop trim, a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side mirror, and dual taillights. A new windshield was installed four years ago.

A set of Viking Blue steel wheels with full hub caps is wrapped in new whitewall bias ply tires.

The front bench seat and matching rear seat are covered in blue vinyl. Features include blue carpet with blue carpeted floor mats, seat belts, a white headliner, manual steering, and manual brakes. Originally factory-equipped with a manual transmission, this Falcon has been converted to use a column-mounted automatic shifter. Additional features include aftermarket under-dash air conditioning, an original radio converted to AM/FM, a body-color steel dashboard with a blue vinyl top pad, and manual windows. The seller notes that the air conditioning needs to be serviced.

A 100-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, and coolant temperature gauge are mounted in a black panel ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 98,977 miles, which is the true mileage according to the seller. The seller notes that the gas gauge does not work.

Power is provided by a 170ci inline-6 engine equipped with a rebuilt head and backed by an upgraded 2-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include manual steering, manual brakes, electronic ignition, a restored valve cover and air cleaner in the correct red finish, a battery disconnect, and air conditioning.

This Falcon came factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel manual drum brakes. According to the seller, less than 1K miles have been logged since a full front suspension and brake rebuild with new drums, shoes, hoses, and master cylinder.

The original window sticker from the factory, the bill of sale from Crenshaw Motors in Los Angeles dated August 16, 1962, and a pair of uninstalled spare wheels and tires are included with the sale of the vehicle.
