This 1977 Chevrolet Corvette sports coupe is equipped with removable color-matched T-top roof panels, 15-inch wheels, Cooper tires, new weatherstripping, an upgraded exhaust system, fender flares, and a rear spoiler. It draws power from a 350ci V8 paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Black over a black leather interior, this C3 Corvette is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer with storage bags for the T-tops and a clear title.
Launched in the 1968 model year, the third-generation Corvette derived its new styling from the Mako Shark II concept car. Design and engineering changes were introduced each subsequent year, including new bumpers in 1974 and a revised back window to eliminate the “flying buttress” look after 1977. This Corvette from the 1977 model year is Black (19) and has color-matched removable T-top roof panels. The selling dealer notes that the exterior weatherstripping has been replaced. Exterior features include fender flares, polished rocker panel trim, a decklid spoiler, and quad polished exhaust outlets.
Multi-spoke 15-inch aluminum wheels with Corvette flag center caps are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires. Driving aid is provided by power steering and power brakes.
The two-seat interior is fitted with black (code 192) leather bucket seats, matched to the door panels, dash, headliner, center console, and carpeting. Features include a push-button AM/FM radio, air conditioning, cruise control, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, a rear window defogger, and a passenger-side grab handle.
Vehicle information is presented through a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 67K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was rated at 180 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque when new and received a recent tune-up per the selling sealer. The exhaust system has been replaced including the catalytic converter and mufflers. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission.
The sale includes T-top storage bags.
