OVERVIEW

This 1964 Chevrolet Impala project car is powered by a reportedly 283ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power steering, manual windows, manual brakes, and an AM radio. This metallic blue Impala with a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with the original title and license plates from 1964, all four of the removed original hubcaps, and an open duplicate North Carolina title in the seller's name that can be transferred to the buyer.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

This Impala has been sitting since 1978. The metallic blue body has several rusted areas, but the seller states that the doors, hood, and trunk line up and close without effort. Features include chrome bumpers, quad headlights in an aluminum grille, a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side mirror, and six taillights. The windshield is cracked.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of original steel wheels is wrapped in radial tires. All four of the removed original hubcaps, which are reported to be in good condition, come with the car.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Many parts have been detached, including the interior trim, kick panels, and front seat. The carpeting has been removed. The headliner is split. Interior features include manual windows, a column-mounted automatic shifter, an AM radio, power steering, and manual brakes.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for the coolant temperature and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 23,259 miles but the true mileage on the car is unknown.

Power is provided by a reportedly 283ci V8 backed by an automatic transmission. Underhood features include manual brakes, power steering, ram’s-horn exhaust manifolds, steel valve covers, and an original air cleaner.

To the best of my knowledge the engine has 327 valve covers however a check of the engine number would verify if it was a 327 engine. If it is equipped with a rochester 4 barrel carb that would increase the odds significantly. The car is so original I would also think the milage is too but that may be stretching it, at any rate it is a very nice original car!
