This 2WD 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe was put through a refurbishment process that included a new paint job, replacement moldings and trim, and fresh upholstery. In addition, a new fuel pump and tank were installed along with the rear brake hardware being replaced. Power from the 5.7-liter V8 is delivered to the road through a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and the rear wheels. Amenities include air conditioning and power mirrors, locks, and windows. Refinished in black over a gray leather interior, this two-door Tahoe is available now and comes with a clean CARFAX report and a clear Louisiana title in the seller's name.
Chevrolet introduced a new Blazer with two doors and a full-length roof in 1992. Three years later, Chevrolet changed the Blazer's name to Tahoe and came out with a new four-door version. This two-wheel-drive 1999 model was disassembled before being repainted black, then fitted with a new chrome front bumper assembly and new moldings and trim. Features include front tow hooks, a black front bow tie badge, body-color mirror caps, black roof rails and cross bars, a glass rear window with a wiper, a fold-down tailgate, a chrome rear bumper, and a hitch receiver.
The factory wheels have been replaced with the 15-inch wheels from a 1986 Chevrolet C/K-series truck, which were blasted, epoxy primed, and painted, according to the seller. Those are surrounded by Crosswind tires that reportedly have fewer than 200 miles on them.
During the refurbishment process, the interior was outfitted with new weatherstripping, new carpeting, a new headliner, and new leather on the power front bucket seats. The cracked dashboard received a Coverlay cover that was painted to match the interior. In addition, the power window motors were replaced and the air conditioning system was equipped with an updated compressor. According to the seller, the rest of the interior was either cleaned, repaired, or replaced. Amenities include heated power mirrors, power front bucket seats, a center console with covered storage, black rubber floor mats, power locks and windows, an aftermarket head unit, a CD player, and a leather rear bench seat. The seller notes the CD player in the truck is the factory option but will not work with the aftermarket radio currently installed, but the original factory radio will be included in the sale. The cargo area contains a side-mounted spare with a tan carpeted cover. The seller reports the heating function for the front seats was removed when they were reupholstered.
Vehicle information is delivered through a gear selection indicator, 6K-rpm tachometer, 100-mph speedometer, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The 6-digit mechanical odometer shows 173K miles. The last mileage amount entered on the CARFAX report in December of 2007 is 99,073 miles.
The naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V8 routes power through a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip rear end with 3.41:1 gearing. The fuel pump and gas tank were replaced and a spider injector system was installed. The seller reports the air conditioning system was flushed and all of the engine fluids were replaced.
The rear brake drums were turned and new hardware was installed from hub to hub.
The CARFAX report history starts in October of 1998 and shows an accident-free record in Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana. The seller has posted a walk-around video of the vehicle in the gallery to the right.
