Vehicle Story

This 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe is powered by a reportedly numbers-matching L48 Turbo-Fire 350ci V8 paired with a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes color-matched removable T-tops, four-wheel disc brakes, a Delco radio, and Rally wheels with Goodyear tires. Refinished in metallic silver over a Dark Red vinyl interior, this C3 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

Using design language penned by Larry Shinoda, the third-generation Corvette took inspiration from the Mako Shark II concept car and first went into production for the 1968 model year. By the early 1970s, the Corvette had transitioned toward being a touring sports car and received refined styling with urethane front and rear bumpers. This metallic silver Corvette coupe from 1975 has removable color-matched T-tops, retractable quad headlights, vented front fenders, recessed door handles, dual mirrors, and a dual exhaust system.

Silver 15-inch steel Rally wheels with chrome center caps are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GTII raised-white-letter tires.

The two-seat interior is fitted with Dark Red (trim code 73V) vinyl bucket seats that are free of rips or tears, matched to the door panels, center console, dash, carpeting, headliner, and floor mats. Features include a tilt-adjustable steering column, air conditioning, a Delco push-button radio, and a dash-mounted map pocket.

Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, 7K-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 39K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The reportedly numbers-matching L48 Turbo-Fire 350ci V8 sends power to the rear wheels via a console-shifted TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. Steering is power-assisted. Stopping power comes from power-assisted four-wheel discs.

Original exterior color, if not when was the car last painted ? How many sets of keys? Do you have the paint readings?

@deskman442 – Is the repaint in the factory original silver or just a close match? It looks as the headlights inserts are a slight different shade. Did you have it painted or did your purchase or trade for it with current paint? ...

Wouldn’t it be nice to know …
