This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura two-door convertible draws power from a 170ci Mileage Maker inline-6 paired with a manual transmission. It features brightwork trim, wheel skirts, and lap belts. Finished in red with a black retractable top over a two-tone white and red vinyl interior, this first-generation Falcon is now offered with a vinyl convertible boot and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
The Falcon compact car was introduced for the 1960 model year and used a unibody chassis. It was engineered as a scaled-down version of the full-size Galaxie sedan and had some of the same exterior design elements. This red Falcon convertible from 1963 features a black retractable top, chrome bumpers, spear-like side moldings, a driver-side mirror, rocker trim, quarter panel script emblems, and rear wheel skirts.
Steel 13-inch wheels with polished hubcaps are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering.
The interior is outfitted with a two-tone white and red split-bench up front and a bench in the rear. Features include lap belts, a pair of front cup holders, a push-button radio, vent windows, manual crank windows, and a column-mounted manual shifter.
Instrumentation consists of a sweeping 100-mph speedometer along with gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer tracks accrued mileage. The true mileage is unknown.
The 170ci Mileage Maker inline-6 sends power through a column-shift manual gearbox and the rear wheels.
Stopping power comes from four-wheel drum brakes.
The sale includes a snap-on black vinyl convertible boot.
Congratulations Weberman!
