This survivor 1957 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has been with the seller for 28 years and is powered by a reportedly numbers-matching 283ci V8 engine with Rochester fuel injection. Features include a 4-speed manual transmission, a Wonderbar AM radio, manual steering, and manual brakes. This refinished red and white first-generation Corvette with a white soft top over a red vinyl interior is available now and comes with a hardtop and clear Texas title in the seller’s name.
This Corvette convertible was previously refinished in red, which is currently showing cracking from age and needs to be redone. Features include a white vinyl convertible soft top, chrome bumpers, dual headlights, a chrome grille, white side coves, a driver-side mirror, dual taillights, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller will include a hardtop with the sale but they note that it is in rough condition.
A set of 15-inch red steel wheels with full Corvette hub caps and spinners is wrapped in whitewall bias-ply tires. The seller notes that the tires are older, but the tread is good.
The bucket seats and door panels are upholstered in red vinyl. Features include manual windows, steering, and brakes; a body-color hinged convertible top hard boot; red carpet; red carpet floor mats with embroidered Corvette logos; a floor-mounted manual shifter; a red and white dashboard with a red vinyl top pad; and a Wonderbar AM radio.
A 140-mph speedometer, clock, and gauges for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are mounted in the red and white dashboard ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 56,644 miles, which the seller believes to be accurate. The seller notes that the clock does not work.
Power is provided by a reportedly numbers-matching 283ci V8 engine with Rochester mechanical fuel injection, model number 7014360. Power is sent to the road through a 4-speed manual transmission and the rear wheels. Underhood features include a chrome air cleaner housing, electric windshield wipers, a tachometer drive generator, finned aluminum valve covers with the Corvette logo, and cast iron ram's horn-style exhaust manifolds.
This Corvette came factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Stopping power is provided by manual drum brakes. A full dual exhaust system exits through the end of the bodywork.
The seller will include a hardtop that is reported to be in rough condition with the sale.

@Parris – Would this car be capable of about 200 miles on highway? ...
This car is mechanically fit to drive daily with of course standard maintenance. Engine is strong and never smokes. Engine idles at 800 to 850 as per specs. Even the clutch to fly wheel has no chatter. The current tires are 28 year old original style bias tires car needs new tires to drive every day

These aren't east to phot but here they are the head casting logo is the "single pyramid" the block casing number is "3731548"
