This 1954 Chrysler Windsor is powered by a 264ci inline-6 engine backed by a manual transmission. Features include re-chromed bumpers, newer exterior paint and interior fabric, seat belts, dual chrome mirror caps, and manual steering and brakes. This black Chrysler with a gray cloth interior is available now and comes with a clear California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior has been repainted black, but the doorjambs retain the original factory-applied finish. Features include bumpers with accessory over-riders, dual headlamps, chrome mirror caps, and dual taillights with reverse lights. The seller notes the bumpers, grille, door handles, and hood ornament have been re-chromed.
A set of black steel wheels with full hubcaps is wrapped in new Coker bias-ply-look tubeless whitewall radial tires with tubes added.
The front bench seat, rear seat, and door panels have been reupholstered. The seller states the original upholstery can still be found underneath. Interior features include new black carpeting with black rubber floor mats; manual windows, brakes, and steering; a column-mounted manual shifter; and a metallic gray steel dashboard with a gray top pad. The trunk area has new gray carpeting and fabric. The seller notes that the heater, lights, turn signals, cigar lighter, and glove box light are all in working order, but the original radio is not functional.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. According to the seller, the odometer is not functioning. They estimate the mileage to be 25K, but the true figure is unknown.
Power is provided by a 264ci inline 6-cylinder engine backed by a manual transmission. Underhood features include an oil-bath air filter, the original heater core plenum, and a 6-volt battery. The seller notes the aftermarket aluminum radiator, water pump, hoses, and thermostat are new.
This Windsor is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual drums. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.
