2001 PORSCHE BOXSTER S 6-SPEED

This 2001 Porsche Boxster S is finished in Lapis Blue Metallic over a navy blue leather interior. Designated internally as the 986, the Boxster S is powered by a mid-mounted 3.2-liter water-cooled flat-6 cylinder engine, which sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a navy-blue soft top, traction control, an electronic locking differential, 18” Turbo-look wheels, heated seats, a wind deflection, a Hi-Fi digital sound system, and automatic climate control, among others. Showing just over 60k miles, the IMS bearing clutch was replaced 75 miles ago. Now located in Omaha, Nebraska, this Boxster S is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX on a clear Nebraska title.

Finished in Lapis Blue Metallic, the exterior paint is original to the car, with no accidents or damage reported on CARFAX. A new navy-blue soft top was recently installed and features a glass back window with an integrated defroster, while optional wind deflection is equipped as well. The 986 Boxster S features functional side vents in the rear quarters and center exhaust with dual polished tips. The power-operated convertible top folds underneath a tonneau cover finished matching the body while individual roll bars are mounted behind each seat.

Factory equipped 18” Turbo-look wheels are finished in silver and wrapped in BF Goodrich tires measuring 250/40 on the front and 265/35 on the rear. Braking is handled by cross-drilled rotors with abrasive pads and red calipers with Porsche insignia, which is standard equipment for all S models.

 

Inside, the navy blue leather seats are power-adjustable and heated, while the rest of the interior features matched by carpeting and a dash. Interior options include programmable memory seats, a Hi-Fi Digital sound system with an aftermarket head unit with satellite and Bluetooth capabilities, an onboard computer, automatic climate control, and SRS airbags for both passengers. The center console houses the leather-wrapped shifter for the manual transmission along with switches for the power windows.

Behind the factory, leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel sits white instrumentation, which including a 180-mph speedometer, as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer reads just over 60K miles.

The 3.2-liter flat 6 cylinder engine is mid-mounted and factory rated for 250-horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque, while power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Recent maintenance includes new clutch and IMS bearing installed at 53k miles.
