This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 convertible with factory air conditioning has been driven fewer than 500 miles since undergoing a frame-off restoration. It receives power from a numbers-matching 400ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission and features a rebuilt carburetor, a tilt steering column, woodgrain trim, and a dual exhaust system. This muscle car reportedly spent most of its life in Florida until being relocated to Ohio where it has been garage-kept by the seller over the last two years. Finished in Aztec gold over a gold vinyl interior, this 442 is now offered with an uninstalled set of Goodyear Polyglas tires, an uninstalled side mirror and convertible frame, restoration documentation, a vinyl convertible boot, and a clear title.
The 442 name debuted as an option package for the Cutlass and F-85 models in 1964. A second generation debuted four years later with a new body that rode on the General Motors A-platform. The grille and trim were revised in 1969. This repainted Aztec gold 442 convertible from that year comes with a contrasting black power-retractable top. The exterior features quad headlights, bright shoulder moldings, and a dual exhaust system. The seller notes that all of the sheet metal is original other than the trunk pan.
Magnum 500-style 14-inch wheels with Oldsmobile-branded center caps are wrapped in new Cooper Cobra radial tires. An extra set of Goodyear Polyglas raised-white-letter tires will be included with the sale.
The cabin is fitted with gold vinyl bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear as well as matching colors applied to the door panels, center console, dash, and carpeting. The dash and center console are accented with woodgrain appliques. Amenities include air conditioning, a tilt steering column, a push-button radio, and a vinyl trunk area with a spare tire. In addition, the radio and cigarette lighter do not work.
Instrumentation is comprised of a 120-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer with an integrated clock, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 74K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The numbers-matching 400ci V8 has a rebuilt carburetor. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission.
A variety of photos showing the underside are available in the gallery to the right.
The sale includes a book of restoration documentation, a snap-on vinyl convertible boot, and an uninstalled set of Goodyear Polyglas raised-white-letter tires.

@mikesupreme – Was the motor and trans rebuilt with the restoration? ...
Yes everything was done during the restoration. I just had the carburetor rebuilt one week ago and the air conditioner recharged.
