This 1937 Chevrolet two-door coupe received a restoration that included fresh paint and pinstriping, new upholstery, and BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. Under the center-hinged hood is a 216ci inline-6 that is coupled with a 3-speed manual transmission. It comes finished in Gazelle Brown and is accompanied by brightwork on the exterior combined and a tan cloth bench inside the cabin. This Chevrolet is now offered by the selling dealer with build documentation, receipts, and a clear title.
Building on the original design of the Chevrolet Series CA that was launched in 1933, the subsequent model lineup received modified engineering including a lengthened wheelbase, refined Art Deco design language, and different ornamentation. This restored coupe from 1937 was refinished in Gazelle Brown (215) combined with red pinstriping on the side panels and trunk lid. Chrome accent trim is located on the grille, bumpers, handles, and other hardware. Features include a two-piece windshield, rubber-covered running boards, and a single driver-side taillamp.
Red steel wheels with chrome trim rings are wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires.
The single-bench interior is fitted with tan cloth upholstery, matched to the door panels, headliner, and carpeting. Materials are described as being in good condition. Amenities include a radio with speakers in the door panels as well as the rear window deck. The dual-tier trunk has a wood panel that covers the spare tire underneath it.
Vehicle information is conveyed through a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 41K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The center-hinged hood opens to reveal the reportedly original 216ci inline-6, which was rated at 85 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 3-speed manual transmission.
The sale includes build documentation and receipts.
