This well-maintained 1997 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series sedan has over 40 service records in its maintenance history and is powered by a 4.6-liter Modular V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Work performed in the last several years includes the replacement of the spark plugs, fuel filter, valve cover gasket, differential fluid, tires, and battery. It was originally sold in Decatur, Tennessee and remained in that area until being relocated to Arkansas in 2018 where it has been garage-kept under the seller’s ownership since then. Finished in white over a Light Graphite interior, this second-generation Town Car is now offered with a CARFAX report and a clear Arkansas title in the seller’s name.
The white exterior is dressed with a chrome waterfall grille, a hood ornament, and a full-width taillight treatment. The body and paint are in great shape, according to the seller.
Polished aluminum 15-inch geometric-spoke wheels are wrapped in newer tires.
The cabin is fitted with Light Graphite leather upholstery for the split front bench as well as the rear bench along with matching door panels, lower dash, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include a fold-down center armrest, woodgrain trim, air conditioning with automatic climate control, power windows, power door locks, a power-opening trunk, keyless entry, cruise control, a rear window defroster, and a factory AM/FM/cassette radio.
Instrumentation is provided via a digital cluster with a speedometer, a coolant temperature gauge, and a fuel gauge. The digital odometer reads 160K miles, which is supported by the CARFAX report.
The 4.6-liter Modular SOHC V8 was rated at 190 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque when new and is said to run well per the seller. The battery was replaced under current ownership. Additional maintenance has been documented through 42 service records on the CARFAX report. Noteworthy items from that document include an oil change in January of 2022 and a series of items in April of 2020 that encompassed a fluid check, differential fluid change, antifreeze change, power steering service, oxygen sensor replacement, valve cover gasket replacement, oil pan gasket replacement, and exhaust work. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a column-shifted 4-speed 4R70W automatic transmission.
The braking system uses four-wheel anti-lock discs. The pads have been replaced under current ownership.
The CARFAX report identifies minor damage to the front of the vehicle in 2019.

This was very, very minor bump or tap from another vehicle’s front bumper into the Lincoln’s front license plate frame. The factory license plate was barely damaged and is still on the car. I had to report this to my insurance company because the other driver refused to take responsibility for the incident.
