This award-winning 1932 Ford Highboy with a Downs Industries fiberglass body is powered by a ZZ4 350ci V8 engine with tri-power backed by a TH350 automatic transmission. Features include a Just A Hobby chassis, headers with dual exhaust outlets, manual steering, MOON gauges, and manual brakes. This metallic green Highboy with a black leather interior is available now and comes with car show awards and a clear Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The Downs Industries fiberglass exterior is finished in metallic green with flame graphics and custom pinstriping. Exterior features include front turn signals, a 1932 Ford grille shell with a stainless insert, dual headlights with color-matched buckets, a chrome windshield frame, shaved door handles, 1950s Pontiac taillights with blue dots, a stainless steel gas tank, and a chrome rear spreader bar.
A set of aluminum 5-spoke American Racing wheels with 3-spoke spinners is wrapped in staggered-size BFGoodrich radial tires.
The bench seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in black leather. Features include black carpeting, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, a metallic green fiberglass dashboard with a painted wood plank graphic, and a body-color tilt steering column topped with a 4-spoke steering wheel with a black grip.
A set of white-faced MOON gauges including a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for the coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in an aluminum panel ahead of the driver. A 7K-rpm tachometer is mounted to the steering column. The odometer reads 6,200 miles but the true mileage is unknown.
Power is provided by a ZZ4 350ci V8 engine backed by a TH350 automatic transmission. Features include a white firewall with accent pinstriping, an aluminum tri-power air cleaner, and a chrome ignition coil. Additional features include polished aluminum valve covers, polished aluminum spark plug wire separators, ceramic-coated tube headers, a gold-finished block, and an electric fan.
The body-color Just A Hobby chassis has been updated with a body-color solid dropped front tube axle and a Currie 9-inch solid rear axle. Braking is provided by manual front discs and rear drums. A full dual exhaust system flows from the header exits to the rear. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.
Car show awards are included with the sale of the vehicle.
