This 1986 Ford F250 was reportedly sold to its second and current owner in 2021 and has covered over 38,000 miles. It was repainted in February of 2022 and comes equipped with dual fuel tanks, a Penda drop-in bed liner, and a rear hitch receiver. The cabin offers bench seating, a factory push-button radio, and air conditioning. Under the hood is a carbureted 7.5-liter gas V8 connected to an Edelbrock air cleaner and a 3-speed automatic transmission. This F250 was previously sold on AutoHunter.com but, through no fault of the seller, is being auctioned off again after the buyer was unable to complete the transaction. Refinished in gray over a gray vinyl and cloth interior, this seventh-generation F-Series truck is available now and comes with a clean CARFAX report and clear Indiana title in the seller's name
Released in the 1980 model year, the seventh-generation Ford F-Series had a new chassis and fresh design with flatter body panels and a squared-off grille that featured the Ford Blue Oval emblem for the first time. This single-cab 1986 F-250 from the final model year of the generation was repainted in a shade of gray close to its factory color in February of this year, according to the seller. It comes equipped with a chrome front bumper, a drop-in Penda DuraLiner bed liner, a silver rear bumper, and a hitch receiver.
The factory wheels feature full covers and are surrounded by radial tires with black sidewall lettering.
The two-tone gray cabin is furnished with a light gray vinyl and cloth bench seat, light gray door panels and dashboard, and dark gray carpeting. Features include vent windows, manual crank windows, shoulder belts, a foot-activated parking brake, air conditioning, and a factory push-button radio.
Important vehicle information is delivered through a gear selection indicator, an 85-mph speedometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery charge. According to the seller, the 5-digit mechanical odometer currently shows 39K miles, which is in line with the mileage on the CARFAX report.
Power is supplied by a naturally aspirated 7.5-liter gas V8 hooked up to a carburetor tuned within the last year, an Edelbrock air cleaner, and a 3-speed automatic transmission. Stopping is handled by power brakes. According to the seller, this truck leaks slightly. The steering is reportedly tight. The videos below show the truck starting up and idling.
The seller reports there is some surface rust on the frame, inside of the doors, and inside of the wheel wells. They also state that the front fuel tank runs but occasionally stops working when the throttle is applied. Additional photos of the undercarriage are available in the gallery to the right.
The CARFAX report starts in August of 2004 and shows the vehicle has had an accident-free history in Indiana.
