Vehicle Story

This restored 1955 GMC 100 is powered by a 248ci inline-6 engine backed by a manual transmission. Features include manual windows, steering, and brakes; custom wheels; a natural wood bed floor; and a new interior. This two-tone blue and silver GMC with a gray vinyl interior is available now and comes with uninstalled wheels, a repair manual, an owner’s guide, original keys, and a clear California title in the seller's name.

The exterior of this First Series GMC pickup is finished in metallic silver over blue. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille with the GMC logo, chrome mirror caps, a working spotlight, a step-side long bed, dual taillights, a natural wood bed floor, and a tailgate with the GMC logo and custom pinstriping.

A set of polished 6-lug aluminum wheels is wrapped in Terramax H/T radial tires. An additional set of original steel wheels with dog dish hub caps will be included with the sale.

The bench seat and door panel inserts have been freshly reupholstered in gray vinyl. Features include gray carpeting with gray carpet floor mats, blue door panel sheet metal, and a gray headliner. Additional features include a floor-mounted manual shifter, a metallic light blue steel dashboard, and manual steering, brakes, and windows.

A set of aftermarket Classic Industries gauges includes a 140-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The odometer reads 744 miles but the true mileage on the vehicle is unknown.

Power is provided by a 248ci inline 6-cylinder engine backed by a manual transmission. Underhood features include an orange engine block and valve cover with the GMC logo, a single-barrel carburetor with an oil-bath air cleaner, a coolant overflow return tank, an external oil filter canister, manual steering, and manual brakes.

This GMC pickup is factory-equipped with a solid front axle and solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by 4-wheel manual drum brakes. A full-length single exhaust exits at the rear. Additional photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.

The seller will include uninstalled wheels, a repair manual, an owner’s guide, and original keys with the sale.

AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 7/19/22 9:13 AM: Per the seller, only the extra set of wheels and hub caps will go with the vehicle. The tires were needed for another use.
