This 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner two-door convertible underwent a complete inside-and-out restoration in 2019 and is powered by a rebuilt, Z-code 390ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It has been upgraded with a Holley carburetor, Magnum 500-style wheels, a Hurst shifter, a Bluetooth stereo, auxiliary gauges, and a Magnaflow dual exhaust system. Finished in black with a newer power-operated white retractable top over a black vinyl interior, this Galaxie is now offered with the original uninstalled wheels and hubcaps, the uninstalled original radio, service receipts, and a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.
This rust-free Galaxie 500 two-door convertible was originally maroon but was repainted black as part of a restoration completed in 2019. During the process, the weatherstripping was replaced along with some of the chrome trim. The body is accompanied by a replacement power-retractable white soft top with a glass rear window.
Chrome Magnum 500-style wheels are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering.
The refurbished interior is fitted with reupholstered black vinyl bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear. Features include a center console, a Hurst shifter, a Bluetooth-equipped radio with two speakers, and new carpeting. The seller notes that the air conditioning service valves need to be replaced, as the system holds a charge for approximately a month before leaking.
Instrumentation sits within a replacement bezel and includes a 120-mph speedometer, an aftermarket 8K-rpm tachometer, a fuel gauge, a coolant temperature gauge, and a trio of auxiliary gauges mounted under the air conditioning unit. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 450 miles, which indicates the mileage accrued since the completion of the restoration. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The Z-code 390ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt approximately five years ago and produces 330 horsepower. It comes equipped with an aluminum intake, a Holley 750-cfm carburetor, and a Magnaflow exhaust system. Mechanical work in recent years includes the replacement of the clutch, water pump, fuel tank, sending unit, heater core, hoses, and thermostat. In addition, the radiator was rebuilt. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed manual transmission.
Driving is assisted by power steering with replacement lines. The braking system received service during the restoration process.
The sale includes receipts, the uninstalled original radio, and the uninstalled original wheels and hubcaps.

@Arffbubba – Good Morning. Beautiful Galaxie. Your ad states car is rust-free. Given salt air environment, appearance of trunk mat, and known Galaxie rust-prone areas (quarters), sure would be nice to see under trunk mat and bottom of car… ...
