This 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie two-door hardtop has been garage-kept in Texas and features whitewall tires, chrome and anodized brightwork, and a dual exhaust system. It is powered by a reportedly numbers-matching 332ci Interceptor V8 backed by a Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished in two-tone Geranium with a white roof over a tri-tone interior, this second-generation Fairlane 500 is now offered with a clear Texas title in the seller’s name.
This garage-kept Fairlane 500 two-door coupe from 1959 is a top-trim Galaxie variant with a hardtop body style (body code 65A). It is described as being highly original and comes finished in Geranium paint (color code T) offset by a white roof, chrome trim, rear fender skirts, and a dual exhaust system.
Steel wheels with bright covers are wrapped in whitewall tires.
The interior is fitted with tri-tone black, white, and Geranium vinyl front and rear benches, as well as a black dash pad, black carpeting, and Ford-branded floor mats. Amenities include a heater, spare tire, and non-functional AM radio.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, dash-mounted analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 40K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The reportedly numbers-matching OHV 332ci Interceptor V8 directs power to the rear wheels via a column-shifted Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission.

That silver area is a softer aluminum over steel body and over the years it has had some contacts but not rust. Not much rust going on in West Texas dry climate. I had this car in high school. Had to sell to pay for second year of college. Found it some years later and have babied it ever since. Down sizing now because of age and don’t have room to keep my antique cars is reason for selling.

Referring to the second photo, specifically the passenger side rear quarter panel , please describe the condition of the metal (white in color) between the rear wheel well chrome cover and the rear bumper. It appears in the photo that there are irregularities in the surface. Has that area been patched at some point and /or is there rust present? Please comment on the condition of the same area on the driver's side. Thanks.
