Vehicle Story

This 1984 TMR Spartan II is finished in Pearl White over a tan leather interior. Based on a 1984 Nissan 300ZX, the car was modified by Table Mountain Rancheria (TMR) of San Marcos, California, and sold to its original owner in 1999. Powered by a 3.0-liter V6, power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission. With a 2+2 layout configuration, features include a Sony AM/FM radio with cassette and CD, T-tops, power brakes, power windows, dual remote side mirrors, and more. Located in Alsip, Illinois, this Spartan II is offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX, original sales paperwork from 1999, on a clear Illinois title.

Finished in Pearl White, the Spartan II’s paint is original to its 1999 build date with minor blemishes. Based on the 300ZX chassis, the front wheelbase was elongated and featured neo-classic styline with elements like fenders sweeping into running boards, squared-off hood, dual fender-mounted spare tire carriers, round headlights, and vertical chrome grille.  The roof retains the original T-tops from the 300ZX and incorporates a Landau style rear section with side Opera windows and narrowed rear window. The rear features a sloped back with a polished luggage rack and rectangular taillights.

The car rides on polished Cadillac wire-spoke wheels wrapped in Vogue Wide Trac Touring, which show signs of cracking due to age.

The interior features tan leather bucket seats with black "TMR" inserts and trimmed with black piping.  The dash, center console, and door panels are finished in black and trimmed with burlwood accents throughout. The stereo has been upgraded with a Sony head unit and rear-mounted CD changer. Additional features include power windows, & driver's seat, remote mirrors, air conditioning, and cruise control.

The interior retains the original 300ZX steering wheel with wood grain center as well as the 300ZX digital gauge cluster providing readouts for speed, RPM's, coolant temperature, fuel level, battery voltage, and oil pressure. The odometer currently reads just over 28k miles, which is not believed to be original.

Beneath the hood sits the 3.0-liter V6 from the donor 300ZX. Utilizing a dual overhead cam design, the engine was rated for 160-HP and 173-lb ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. As part of the conversion, TMR refurbished the engine and drivetrain, which were stated to have 40k miles on them at the time of the build. Additional features include power steering and brakes.

Included in the sale is a clean CARFAX, the original TMR order, and sales forms as well as some factory literature. The car is titled as a 1984 Datsun
