This 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 is finished in Burgundy Metallic over a burgundy cloth interior. As one of 4,273 examples made for the 1986 model year, this 442 was refinished to its original color and is powered by its original 307ci V8 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission. Modifications include aftermarket wheels, coilover suspension, Flowmaster mufflers, and slotted disc brakes, though all factory parts are included in the sale. Located in Mannheim, Pennsylvania, this 442 is offered by the selling dealer with factory literature, a clean CARFAX report on a clear Pennsylvania title.
Finished from the factory in Burgundy Metallic and silver, the car received a high-quality respray in the factory two-tone shade. A painted gold pinstripe runs the length of the car along the lower body line, separating the two colors while "442" badging is found on the lower fenders and trunk panel. The polished window trim is in good condition with no dents or pitting and all glass has been tinted with exception of the windshield. Additional features include dual halogen headlights on each side, twin black grilles, and painted mirror housings & door handles. The November 2020 CARFAX shows no reports of accidents or damage.
The 17” American Racing 200S wheels feature matte gray spokes with a polished lip and center cap, all wrapped in BF Goodrich G-Force TA tires. The front brakes have been upgraded with slotted front rotors, while the original style drums are retained in the rear. The stance of the car has been slightly lowered utilizing QA1 coilovers and powder coated control arms in the front and lowering springs in the rear.
The 442 retains its factory cloth interior complete with burgundy bucket seats and matching door panels, carpet, dash, and door panels. The carpet in the driver's side footwell is showing signs of wear and a new carpet kit is included in the sale. A factory Hurst dual gate shifter housed in the center console, surrounded by a trim plate with the Hurst logo. The original radio has been upgraded with an Alpine unit with Bluetooth phone and audio capability, while other interior features include cruise control, power steering, brakes windows, and door locks. The car was equipped new with air conditioning, however, the compressor was removed at some point prior to the seller acquiring the car and the system is currently inoperable.
An Aftermarket Grant 3-spoke steering wheel with wood rim was installed, replacing the factory 2-spoke unit which is included in the sale. The gauge cluster has been upgraded with a 155mph speedometer and 6k rpm tachometer. Ancillary gauges provide readouts for fuel, oil pressure, engine temperature, and battery voltage. The odometer shows just over 3K miles, which is mileage since the installation of the new cluster, true mileage is unknown.
Under the hood sits the original 307ci V8 engine, rated for 180-horsepower when new. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through the 200-4R4 automatic transmission and an 8.5” rear end with 3:73 gears. The car retains all of its factory components with the only modification being a cat-back Flowmaster dual exhaust.
Additional undercarriage photos are available in the gallery.
Included in the sale are all the original parts taken off as well as several original owners' manuals.

The previous owner spent $2,000 to have the car professionally ceramic coated. The paint is like glass... way nicer than they ever came from the factory.
