This rust-free 1946 Mercury Eight coupe has been with the seller for 10 years and is powered by a newer 350ci V8 engine backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include power brakes and steering, power windows, cold air conditioning, an upgraded sound system, power front bucket seats, and seat belts. This metallic maroon Mercury Eight with a tan leather interior is available now and comes with receipts and a clear California title.
The exterior was finished in metallic maroon approximately eight years ago, according to the seller. Features include chrome front and rear bumpers, a color-matched grille shell, chrome mirror caps, rocker trim, mid-body fender trim, and dual taillights.
A set of chrome steel 7-hole wheels is wrapped in radial tires.
The tan interior comes with leather power front bucket seats, a leather rear seat, and a color-coordinated headliner, rear trim, and custom door panels with power windows. Features include an upgraded aftermarket sound system with a CD player, seat belts, tan carpet with carpeted floor mats, rack and pinion power steering, power brakes, a 3-spoke Grant steering wheel, a body-color steel dashboard with chrome trim, and air conditioning. The seller reports the carpeting and headliner were replaced eight years ago.
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature are mounted in the steel dashboard ahead of the driver. An 8K-rpm mini tachometer is mounted to the chrome trim in the center of the dashboard. The odometer reads 96,280 miles but the true mileage on the vehicle is unknown. The seller estimates there are 14-15K miles on the engine.
Power is provided by a 350ci V8 engine installed 8-10 years ago. That is paired with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include rack and pinion power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, aluminum valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, and an HEI distributor.
The original solid axle front suspension has been upgraded with a Mustang II-style independent control arm stub with power rack and pinion steering, 2-inch drop spindles, and tubular control arms. The original rear drive axle has been upgraded with an 8-inch Ford housing. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums.
The seller will include receipts with the sale.

This is a very nice automobile. It is similar to a 1946 Ford Super DeLuxe coupe with a 1954 Cad 331 engine I had some 50 years ago. It rode great, and I miss it after all these years. I bid on this one to the extent of my budget which was not sufficient. Best of luck to seller and final purchaser; I'm sure you will enjoy what I think is a great vehicle. Thank you, NIKOLAT
Love the Cameo you sold me thanks Jim1957
I s the vehicle available for inspection? I'll be in Solvang Sunday and Monday.
