This 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger two-door hardtop retains its reportedly numbers-matching 340ci V8 that has been upgraded with Hooker headers, an MSD ignition, and a custom dual-exhaust system. Torque is transferred to the road through a B&M-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission and the rear 15-inch Cragar SS wheels. Finished in metallic copper over a two-tone brown leather interior with a modern audio system, this fourth-generation Dart is now offered by the selling dealer with receipts, documentation, an owner’s manual, and a clear Mississippi title.
This Dart was repainted metallic copper under prior ownership in the late 1980s and is complemented by black accent striping on the rear panels. Equipment includes Hotchkis hood pins, chrome brightwork, and a dual-exhaust system with rectangular finishers. The selling dealer notes the wipers are non-operational and that there are some blemishes on the exterior. Those include chips on the hood near the windshield and bubbling on the driver-side rear lower quarter panel, which can be seen in the photos in the gallery to the right.
Chrome 15-inch Cragar SS wheels are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering.
The customized interior is fitted with power-operated two-tone brown leather bucket front seats and a matching bench in the rear, tied in with matching treatment for the lap belts, carpeting, dash pad, headliner, and door panels. Amenities include a B&M shifter, bright door sill plates, and a Kenwood audio system connected to speakers in the kick panels.
Vehicle vitals are communicated through a factory 120-mph sweeping speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. An additional trio of AutoMeter gauges with readouts for the amps, oil pressure, and coolant temperature is mounted under the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 29K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
Under the hood is the reportedly numbers-matching 340ci V8 equipped with Hooker headers, MSD ignition, and a Fram oil pump and oil filter. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission.
Traction is aided by chrome traction bars.
The sale includes receipts, documentation, and an owner’s manual.

@jcsroadking – It looks like there is a substantial amount of rust on the lower rear quarter panels and along the bottom , is the gas tank leaking? The tread plate on the inner fenders along with the excessive amount of undercoating indicates rust? I guess my question is concerning rust , how solid is the car regarding rust? I like the car. My friend had one when we were in college back in the 70’s, it was quite quick ...
Gas tank is not leaking. Car appears to be very solid! No significant rust on the frame. There is some rust noted in the pictures on the lower rear quarter panels causing the paint bubbling. No significant rust was found anywhere else. Inner fender wells appear to be in good shape! Car was painted and under coated by previous owner. It is an older restoration so paint has its blemishes but yes it is a fun and quick car!! Hope that helps, let me know if I can provide more information
