Vehicle Story

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is an older restoration powered by a 327ci V8. Features include an upgraded Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, power steering, manual brakes, Vintage Air climate control, and manual windows. This Tahoe Turquoise first-year Camaro with a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear Indiana title in the seller’s name.

The exterior was refinished in the original Tahoe Turquoise (code LL) with a white L48 nose stripe during the restoration completed 11 years ago. Features include chrome bumpers, RS hideaway headlights, an SS hood, wheel opening moldings, a chrome driver-side mirror cap, a rear spoiler, taillight panel black-out, an SS gas cap, and RS reverse lights. The seller notes that the body is solid but would need to be refinished to be a show car.

A set of steel Chevrolet Rally wheels with disc brake center caps and stainless trim rings is wrapped in Dunlop G/T Qualifier raised-white-letter radial tires. The seller notes that the tires have good tread but show cracks due to age.

The front bucket seats, rear seat, and door panels with manual windows are upholstered with black vinyl. Features include black carpeting, black vinyl floor mats, a black center console with a manual shifter, a black steel dashboard with a black vinyl top pad, power steering and brakes, Vintage Air climate control, and an AM radio. According to the seller, the front bucket seats are in good condition, but the foam needs to be replaced and the radio is not working.

A 120-mph speedometer and fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. An aftermarket 8K-rpm Sunpro tachometer is mounted to the steering column. The odometer reads 118,000 miles but the true mileage on the vehicle is unknown. The seller reports that the "GEN" light stays on.

Power is provided by a non-original ME-code 327ci V8 and backed by an upgraded Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include manual brakes, power steering, air conditioning, black Chevrolet valve covers, tube headers, and an Edelbrock air cleaner. Per the seller, there is what is believed to be a very small oil leak from the valve cover gasket and there is some engine noise suspected to be lifters.

This Camaro is equipped with an independent front suspension and a 12-bolt rear end with a solid drive axle and traction bars. Braking is provided by manual brakes with front discs and rear drums. Additional photos of the underbody can be seen in the carousel to the right.
