Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1931 Lincoln K-series is one of 275 with LeBaron coachwork and underwent a restoration completed in approximately 2019. It is powered by a 384.8ci L-head V8 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Features include dual side-mounted spares, painted wire wheels, and mechanical drum brakes. This Custom Winter Moss Lincoln Model K with a tan convertible top over a green leather interior is available now and comes from the selling dealer with the removed original odometer, a vehicle brochure, restoration documents, and a clear Massachusetts title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The restoration of this Lincoln was started in the mid-1970s using NOS parts and was completed in approximately 2019. This Lincoln K-series LeBaron roadster with body type 214, number 15-319 reportedly was the vehicle used for the 1931 Lincoln glossy catalog and comes finished in its original Custom Winter Moss lacquer paint. The selling dealer states that the paint is in presentable condition with minor spiderweb cracks. The body features chrome bumpers, dark green fenders, chrome headlight casings, dual horns, a chrome grille, a 4-piece hood, dual side-mounted spares, and cowl lamps. Additional features include a tan folding convertible top, a mid-body storage compartment, running boards, a rumble seat, and chrome taillight housings.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of green wire wheels with chrome center caps is wrapped in whitewall bias-ply tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The bench seat, matching rumble seat, interior trim, and door panels are upholstered with green leather. Features include green carpeting, manual windows, floor-mounted manual shifter and emergency brake handles, and a black dashboard with a green leather top pad.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 100-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, amperes, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located in a metal panel in the center of the dashboard. The original odometer was removed when it reportedly showed approximately 26K miles; the replacement odometer currently in place shows 63K miles. According to the selling dealer, the car has only been driven approximately 500 miles since the completion of the restoration and the actual mileage on the car is close to 26.5K miles.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 384.8ci L-head V8 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include a single carburetor, an original air cleaner assembly, chrome spark plug wire looms, a remote oil filter, manual steering, and manual brakes. An oil change and a tune-up were completed in early 2022.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Lincoln was factory-equipped with a solid I-beam front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by mechanical drum brakes. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The selling dealer will include the removed original odometer, a vehicle brochure, and restoration documents with the sale.
