This 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS was repainted in 2021 and has been outfitted with several new cosmetic, audio, and suspension upgrades within the past year. These include 24-inch Forgiato wheels, a Pioneer touchscreen audio head unit, and a UMI Performance suspension with QA1 adjustable shocks. A 5.0-liter V8 sends power to the road through a 200-4R 4-speed automatic transmission and the rear wheels. Refinished in Dark Claret Maroon with orange, maroon, and red reproduction graphics over a gray vinyl and cloth interior, this fourth-generation Monte Carlo comes from the selling dealer with receipts, a CARFAX report, and a clear Georgia title.
In October of 2021, the exterior was repainted in Dark Claret Maroon and outfitted with reproduction orange, maroon, and red perimeter stripes and orange Monte Carlo SS decals on the doors. Features include fog lights, a body-color grille, body-color mirror caps, and a body-color rear spoiler.
This Monte Carlo rolls on a set of newer 24-inch Forgiato five-spoke wheels and low-profile tires.
The air-conditioned cabin is furnished with gray vinyl and cloth front bucket seats, a cloth rear bench seat, two-tone gray door panels with cloth upper sections, and gray carpeting with darker gray Monte Carlo SS front floor mats. Within the last year, the following features have been added:
- Billet Specialties window cranks
- Billet Specialties steering wheel
- Pioneer touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay
- Two Infinity 3.5-inch speakers
- Two Kicker 6"x9" speakers
- Two Audiopipe 12-inch subwoofers with a Hifonics amplifier
- Suede headliner
- Billet Specialties rearview mirror
The photos in the gallery show the front seats are covered in different shades of gray vinyl and cloth as well as the absence of sun visors.
Vehicle information is displayed on a gear selection indicator, an 85-mph speedometer, a 6K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer currently shows 18K miles, but the selling dealer believes the true mileage to be 118K miles. The CARFAX report contains a Mileage Inconsistency entry dated November of 2001. The last mileage figure recorded in October of 2019 was 166,159 miles.
According to the selling dealer, the 5.0-liter V8 and 200-4R 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission are original.
The upgraded UMI Performance suspension is equipped with QA1 adjustable shocks. Power front discs and rear drums help bring the car to a stop. Additional photos of the underbody are in the gallery.
An accident was recorded on the CARFAX report in November of 2005. Receipts will be included with the sale of the vehicle.

@Gen1Iron – What about those 30 inch rims?? ...
I’d pass on the rims but I’ve always like the SS, but GM lost big with the drivetrain, it should if had the 3.8 turbo too..
