OVERVIEW

This two-owner 2004 Mercedes-Benz CL 500 has spent its entire life in California. It comes equipped with fog lights, bi-xenon headlights, the AMG Sport Package, and dual exhaust outlets. INTERIOR - FEATURES

Inside the cabin is charcoal leather seating for four and a coordinating dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Hand-polished burl walnut wood trim is located on the door panels, front and rear consoles, and shifter surround. INTERIOR - GAUGES

Vehicle information is displayed on a multi-information display and a set of electroluminescent gauges that includes a 160-mph speedometer, 6.5K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital speedometer shows 104K miles, which is consistent with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 generated 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque when new. Output is sent to the road through a 7-speed automatic and a rear differential with 2.65:1 gearing. According to the CARFAX report, the oil and oil filter were changed in May of 2022. In May of 2018, the engine computer was reprogrammed.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This car came from the factory with the Active Body Control suspension system, which equips each wheel with a coil spring, an electronically controlled hydraulic cylinder, and a shock absorber to counteract vibration, pitch, dive, squat, and roll. Braking is performed by power disc brakes with ABS, Brake Assist, and Electronic Brake Force Distribution.
