OVERVIEW
This restored 1977 Chevrolet El Camino has been with the seller for three years and is powered by a GM 350ci V8 crate engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power brakes, bucket seats, air conditioning, power windows, and an aftermarket stereo. This rust-free metallic light green El Camino with white stripes and a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with an Ontario, Canada vehicle permit in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The rust-free body was refinished in metallic light green, white accent stripes, and multiple clearcoats under previous ownership in 2008. Features include chrome bumpers, quad headlights, a chrome grille, dual color-keyed mirror caps, rocker and wheel well trim, and dual taillights. According to the seller, there are minor chips in the paint.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of gray 5-spoke aluminum wheels with polished lips is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The swivel-bucket seats are upholstered with black vinyl and cloth inserts. Features include black door panels with cloth inserts, black interior trim, a center console, power windows, and black carpeting. Additional features include a tilt steering column with an automatic shifter, a two-spoke steering wheel with a black grip and an SS horn button, a crack-free padded black dashboard with simulated woodgrain trim, and factory air conditioning. The seller reports that all gauges, power windows, and lights are in working order and the heater has been repaired. Known issues include a functional but sticking signal stalk and a functional but sagging shift lever due to a missing spring.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and other instruments are located ahead of the driver. According to the seller, they added 5K miles added during their ownership. The vehicle's true mileage is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350ci GM V8 crate engine installed during the restoration process and processed by an automatic transmission. Underhood features include power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning, a windshield washer, tube headers, chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake, and a chrome air cleaner. The seller notes that the carburetor and ignition timing were adjusted and an oil change was completed in September of 2021.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This El Camino comes factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. The seller states that the brakes are soft and intends to have the issue assessed and remedied prior to the buyer taking possession.
AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 8/30/22 12:15 PM: The listing has been edited to reflect known issues involving the signal stalk, shift lever, and brakes.
