OVERVIEW
This fiberglass 1936 Ford Cabriolet has been with the seller for one year and is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine backed by a newly rebuilt TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include a reportedly $15,000 paint job, front disc brakes, bucket seats, a cloth convertible top, an AM/FM digital stereo with Bluetooth, a tilt steering column, and electronic ignition. This candy maroon Ford with a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with an uninstalled new glove box and seat belts, a 3-year transmission warranty, and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The fiberglass body was refinished in two-stage candy maroon at a reported cost of $15,000 under previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers, dual headlights with color-matched buckets, a color-matched grille insert, a 4-piece hood, and a color-matched windshield frame. Additional features include chrome mirror caps, a leak-free folding black cloth convertible top with a clear plastic rear window, a rumble seat, and dual taillights. The seller notes that the front windshield frame needs to be aligned, the passenger-side door needs a minor alignment, and the doors and the convertible top make a slight rattling noise while driving, but they report that that is normal for these cars.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of polished 5-spoke aluminum American Racing wheels is wrapped in 185/70/15 front tires and 235/70/15 rear tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
A set of bucket seats with matching interior trim and door panels are upholstered with black vinyl. Features include black carpeting with black carpeted floor mats, manual steering and brakes, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, and a tilt steering column. Additional features include a body-color fiberglass dashboard and a digital AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth. The seller states that this is a windowless car with snap-in side curtains and that a trim plate for the driver’s door handle is not present.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 14K miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. The seller states that the fuel sender is not working.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 backed by a recently rebuilt TH350 automatic transmission. Underhood features include electronic ignition, chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake, a 4-barrel carburetor, a chrome air cleaner, a chrome alternator, and braided hose covers. According to the seller, there is a very minor leak, which they think is coming from either the power steering or the engine block.
UNDERCARRIAGE
A front-end alignment was recently completed. The seller reports the frame is an original 1936 unit and the rear springs should be replaced.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include an uninstalled new glove box and seat belts as well as a 3-year transmission warranty with the sale.
