OVERVIEW
This 2005 Maserati Spyder is an Italian-built grand-touring roadster with 38K original miles that is powered by an F136-R 4.2-liter V8 mated to an F1-style Cambiocorsa six-speed automated transaxle and paddle shifters. It was assembled in December 2004 and sold to its first owner early the following year by Ferrari & Maserati of Newport Beach in Southern California, remaining in the same region afterward. Equipment includes automatic climate control, 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, and a power-operated soft top. Finished in Rosso Bologna with a retractable soft top over a saddle leather interior, this Spyder is now offered with a CARFAX report and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
This low-mileage Spyder from 2005 comes finished in Rosso Bologna (Bologna Red) and has a power-operated retractable soft top with a glass rear window. It has remained in Southern California since new and features equipment including fog lamps, projector headlamps, roll bars, and quad exhaust outlets at the rear.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
Polished aluminum seven-spoke 18-inch wheels are wrapped in Dunlop Direzza tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The two-tone, two-seat interior is fitted with saddle leather bucket seats and contrasting black accents. The remainder of the cockpit shares the same combination. Amenities include automatic climate control, a center-dash analog clock, power windows, a navigation system, and aluminum trim for the door sill plates and pedals.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 200-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 38K miles, which is a true reading consistent with the CARFAX report.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The Ferrari-derived F136-R 4.2-liter V8 was rated at 385 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque when new. It was last serviced in February 2022 with fluid changes; according to the seller, it has received dealer maintenance throughout its life. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a Formula One-style six-speed automated Cambiocorsa transaxle with column-mounted paddle shifters and four available driving modes.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Suspension architecture consists of a light alloy double-wishbone suspension with handling augmented by front and rear anti-roll bars. Stopping power comes from Maserati-branded brake calipers and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report shows an accident on record in mid-2007, but no additional details are available. The vehicle passed a California emissions test in February of 2022.
Below the right headlight there appears to be a void where the lense washer should be and the front areas below and to the side appear to have poorly applied touch up paint…..if this is correct did the owner get and bids to professionally repair this and what are they?

Yes, it does. She stays in the garage covered and I drive it most all the time with the top down. She is one of 5 convertibles that I own.
No pictures with the top up. Does it function properly?
