OVERVIEW
This 1976 Chevrolet Camaro project car is powered by a Holley Sniper fuel-injected 383ci stroker V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. During the seller’s four-year ownership, the car has received extensive work to the fuel system including a new tank and regulator. Equipment includes Cragar wheels, power windows, a center console, and auxiliary gauges. Finished in metallic maroon over a red vinyl and cloth interior, this second-generation Camaro is now offered with build documentation, a pair of uninstalled Anvil headlights, the removed carburetor, additional uninstalled spare parts, and a clear Texas title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This 1976 Camaro sports coupe is finished an older metallic maroon paint job and features a chin spoiler, a custom hood, color-keyed mirror caps, and a urethane flush-mounted rear spoiler. The seller states that there are rust spots on the rear bumper under the rubber trim. The gallery to the right shows paint fade and oxidation consistent with an older finish.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome five-spoke Cragar wheels are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires. The photo carousel shows surface corrosion on the wheels.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is equipped with red vinyl and cloth bucket seats, a rear bench, and matching elements for the center console, door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting. Amenities include a Type LT-branded steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, a Sony head unit, the Holley EFI control module, and a T-handle shift lever. The photo gallery shows upholstery wear on the outer driver-side bolster.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation centers around a 130-mph speedometer and a 7K-rpm tachometer. Additional instruments include gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and other vehicle vitals. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 99K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The upgraded 383ci stroker V8 has been driven roughly 2K miles since installation. Performance equipment includes a newly installed Holley Sniper EFI system comprised of a Sniper HyperSpark EFI ignition and an EFI distributor, an ignition coil, new fuel hoses, a new fuel regulator, and a new fuel tank with an in-tank pump. The mechanical condition is not yet fully sorted because the timing is not optimized, according to the seller. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes build documentation, a pair of uninstalled Anvil headlights, the removed carburetor, and other uninstalled spare parts such as a distributor and fittings.
