OVERVIEW
This 1951 Ford F1 pickup is a frame-off restoration that offers air suspension in the rear, whitewall tires, a Flowmaster exhaust system, and modern Dolphin gauges. It draws power from a recently serviced Chevrolet 350ci V8 with a Holley carburetor and channels it through a three-speed automatic transmission. Finished in two-tone gloss red and matte black over a black vinyl interior, this F1 is now offered with a clear North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This customized 1951 F1 pickup was repainted gloss red and matte black under prior ownership and features a white grille, custom pinstriping, a windshield visor, dual side mirrors, and a Flowmaster dual-exhaust system. The cargo area is lined with wooden planks and houses an antique cooler that doubles as a relocated battery enclosure. The rear end showcases a custom taillight garnish and spider web-inspired tailgate decor.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Black steel wheels with baby moon center caps are wrapped in whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cab is fitted with a diamond-stitched black vinyl bench seat, red vinyl door panels, and a matte red dashboard. The headliner has been wallpapered in vintage “wanted” posters. An Alpine stereo head unit has been installed but not connected, according to the seller.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Aftermarket Dolphin instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 6,600 miles, which reflects the mileage accrued since the restoration was completed. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The Chevrolet-sourced 350ci V8 is fed by a Holley four-barrel carburetor and received an oil change in the summer of 2022. The radiator has been replaced. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This truck is based on a Chevrolet S-10 frame. The rear axle has an Air Lift suspension kit. Stopping power comes from power brakes. Steering is power-assisted. The seller installed a sway bar in the summer of 2022.
