OVERVIEW
This 1956 Volkswagen Beetle restomod benefits from an overhauled and upgraded drivetrain, receiving torque from an air-cooled 1915cc flat-4 with dual Weber carburetors, a performance camshaft, and a modern 12-volt electrical system. It sends power rearward through a lightened flywheel and a 4-speed manual transaxle. Its cosmetic condition was enhanced with a fresh paint job, a retractable cloth sunroof, a set of whitewall tires, and brightwork accents. Finished in white over a red vinyl interior, this Beetle is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear Nevada title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
This 1956 Beetle has been restored, repainted white, and topped with a contrasting red cloth retractable sunroof. The body is dressed in chrome bumpers with overriders, bright headlight rings, B-pillar semaphores, an oval rear window, and white bezels around the taillamps.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
Red steel wheels with smooth hubcaps are wrapped in whitewall tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The interior is furnished with reupholstered red vinyl low-back bucket seats and a rear bench, tied in with the door panels, carpeting, and floor mats. The dash and steering wheel are finished in contrasting white. Amenities include wing windows, sun visors, and a hidden Infinity sound system.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
Retro-style Smiths instrumentation includes a 120-mph circular speedometer ahead of the driver and a series of four additional gauges in the center stack that includes fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and oil temperature readouts. The digital odometer reads 128 miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The air-cooled 1,915cc flat-4 was rebuilt within the past year and is fed via dual Weber carburetors. Mechanical work encompassed the installation of a high-lift camshaft, an inline oil filter, an electric oil cooler, a 12-volt electrical system, and a high-ratio rocker arm. The main bearing, rod bearing, cam bearing, carburetor, alternator, and pushrod tubes were either upgraded or replaced. A high-performance muffler was installed as well. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transaxle and a lightened flywheel.

@Tangen – The suspension system is a static drop with a dropped / shortened spindle. I don’t believe the engine has been on a Dyno to my knowledge ...
