OVERVIEW
This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is an older restoration that has been with the seller for four years and is powered by a numbers-matching 350ci V8 engine backed by a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Features include body-color T-tops, air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo, power steering and brakes, a tilt/telescopic steering column, driver- and passenger-side mirrors, and manual windows. Refinished in red over a black leather interior, this garage-kept Corvette is available now and comes with the original removed intake manifold and carburetor and a clear Texas title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
Originally finished in green, the body of this Corvette was refinished in red under prior ownership. It reportedly underwent a frame-off restoration performed by Auto Restorers, Inc. of Haleyville, Alabama in 1984. Features include chrome bumpers, pop-up quad headlights, rocker trim, a driver-side mirror, hideaway windshield wipers, driver- and passenger-side mirrors, color-keyed removable roof panels, a rear-mounted antenna, and quad taillights with integrated reverse lights. The seller states there are a few small rock chips in the paint and a couple of small fiberglass spiderwebs. The door jamb by the VIN plate has some slight rust.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15" x 8" Chevrolet Rally wheels with stainless steel center caps and trim rings is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather. Features include black door panels and carpeting, black carpeted floor mats, a center console with an emergency brake and an automatic transmission shifter, manual windows, and power steering and brakes. Additional features include a removable back window, air conditioning, a tilt/telescopic steering column, a black dashboard with a black top pad, and an AM/FM stereo. The seller reports the air conditioning is functional but probably needs recharging because it does not blow cold air.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, battery, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. According to the seller, the clock does not work reliably. The five-digit mechanical odometer has rolled over and reads 20,247 miles, which equates to 120,247 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a numbers-matching 350ci V8 engine backed by a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Underhood features include aluminum valve covers, an aluminum Edelbrock intake, an Edelbrock carburetor, a chrome air cleaner, and a chrome distributor cover. According to the seller, the following parts were replaced under previous ownership:
-All belts, coolant reservoir, and radiator cap: July 2015
-Fuel line, manifold, brass hose fitting, fuel sending unit, alternator, water pump, thermostat, harmonic balancer, 650-cfm carburetor, igniter/gasket, coolant temperature sensor, and electronic ignition: August 2015
-Pushrods, rocker arms/nuts, sway bar bushings, valve cover gasket set, and Chevrolet valve covers: October 2015
-Fuel filter and carburetor: March 2017
-Battery: June 2018
The following services were performed under current ownership:
-Radiator flush, fluids checked, oil change, and lubrication: March 2021
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Corvette was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by four-wheel power disc brakes. The seller states that new front brake calipers and pads were installed in March 2017. The rear brake calipers and pads were replaced, the rear rotors were resurfaced, the brake lines were cleaned, new fluid was added, and the power steering hose was replaced in 2022.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include the original removed intake manifold and carburetor with the sale.

@StacyT. – Opp, instead of listing the things that do work, can we get a list of the things that don’t work? ...
The clock doesn't always work. The last time I checked all other gauges the fuel gauge was questionable, but it may be accurate. Right now, volume in the tank is low and the gauge is reading low. ALL other gauges are working.
