OVERVIEW

This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Edition has been with the seller for one year and is powered by a 350ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. The exterior is finished in black over metallic silver with red accent striping. The seller reports the driver-side T-top is cracked.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of aluminum Corvette wheels with chrome center caps and red accent stripes is wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT II tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The bucket seats are upholstered in gray leather. INTERIOR - GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. With 800 miles added during ownership, the odometer reads 28,789 miles, which the seller believes to be accurate.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 350ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. The air conditioning was recharged in 2022 with R12 refrigerant.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Corvette was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. Upgrades include drilled and slotted high-performance brake rotors and new ceramic pads. The exhaust system has been replaced from the catalytic converter to the rear end and the rear differential fluid has been changed.
