Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This restored 1969 Volkswagen Beetle received external touch-ups and new 17-inch Fuchs-style wheels and Blackhawk tires within the last six months. It features chrome bumpers, a folding roof panel, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Under the rear engine cover is a 1600cc flat-four that has been enlarged to displace 1800cc and delivers its power to the road through a four-speed manual gearbox. Refinished in Gulf Orange and equipped with a brown fabric folding roof panel over a brown vinyl interior, this customized Beetle is available now and comes with a paintwork receipt and a clear Texas title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

According to the seller, the Gulf Orange exterior recently received touch-ups to the paint. Equipment includes chrome bumpers with guards, turn signals integrated into the headlight casings, dual side mirrors, black running boards with bright trim, a folding brown fabric roof panel, and a single driver-side-mounted reverse light.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

New chrome 17-inch Fuchs-style wheels with Porsche crest center caps and 205/40 Blackhawk Street-H tires have been installed.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The refurbished cabin has brown vinyl bucket front and bench rear seating, matching door panels, and light brown carpeting with orange piping that coordinates with the doors and dashboard. Features include manual window cranks, front lap belts, a wood-rimmed steering wheel with a Porsche-branded center cap, and a glove compartment.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of a 200-km/h speedometer, a 6K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit analog odometer shows 12,750 kilometers (7,922 miles), 70 (44) of which were added by the seller. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The carbureted 1600cc flat-four engine has been enlarged and now displaces 1800cc. It comes equipped with dual velocity stacks and sends power to the road through a four-speed manual transmission and the rear wheels.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

A paintwork receipt will be included with the sale.
