1964 Buick Wildcat

OVERVIEW

This 1964 Buick Wildcat convertible has been with the seller for a year and a half and is powered by a 401ci V8 engine backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include a power convertible top, air conditioning, power steering and brakes, manual windows, and a center console. Finished in white with a red top over a red vinyl interior, this Wildcat is available now and comes with service records for more than $20,000 in repairs, an owner’s manual, and a clear California title in the seller’s name.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The exterior has been refinished in white with red accent pinstriping. Features include chrome bumpers, quad headlights, a chrome grille, a fender-mounted power antenna, a driver-side mirror, a red power convertible top, a red rear insert, and dual taillights. According to the seller, certain parts of the exterior have been touched up and one of the door key tumblers was repaired and re-keyed in April of 2022. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch steel wheels with correct Buick hub caps is wrapped in 235/75 Yokohama Geolander H/T G056 radial tires. The seller states that the tires were mounted in June of 2021.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bucket seats, the rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in red vinyl. Features include a center console with an automatic transmission shifter, red carpeting, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, manual windows, and a red steel dashboard with a red top pad. The seller states that the radio and clock are not working. The seller states that the front seats received new foam seat bottoms when new upholstery was installed and the ignition switch was replaced during current ownership.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. Per the seller, approximately 100 miles have been added during current ownership, and while the odometer reads 42K miles it is not functional. True mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 401ci V8 engine backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. According to the seller, an air conditioning line has been repaired under current ownership along with the replacement of the evaporator core and an R134-a conversion. Additionally, a new water pump, thermostat, transmission pan, and battery have been installed. Three of the videos below show the car starting, idling, and being driven.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Buick was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by four-wheel power drum brakes. The seller has had the wheel cylinders, brake shoes, brake master cylinder, and hoses replaced. In addition, the rear drums have been resurfaced and the hydraulic fluid has been flushed and refilled.
