Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1967 Pontiac GTO is a documented muscle car in its factory-correct equipment and colors that underwent restoration under prior ownership. It is powered by a YS-code 400ci V8 paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission and comes with PMD-branded Rallye II wheels, full gauges, bucket seats, and power steering. Finished in Montreux Blue with a black vinyl top over a blue vinyl interior, this first-generation GTO is now offered by the selling dealer with Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documentation, a clean National Insurance Crime Bureau report, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

This 1967 GTO two-door hardtop was repainted in its correct Montreux Blue (D) per the trim tag during a restoration carried out within the last five years under prior ownership. The body is capped with a black vinyl roof and features stacked headlights, inset marker lamps, a hood scoop, a driver-side mirror, and a dual-exhaust system with polished outlets.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

Factory 15-inch Rallye II wheels with polished outer lips and PMD center caps are wrapped in newer BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The interior is furnished with blue vinyl bucket seats (219-B) up front, a bench in the rear, and color-matched materials for the door panels, padded dash, lap belts, newer headliner, and carpeting. Amenities include GTO-branded floor mats, a push-button AM radio with a rear speaker, and a vanity mirror. Brightwork and trim are said to be in show-quality condition. The selling dealer notes that the rubber weatherstripping has been replaced.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

Instrumentation is framed within a wood veneer bezel and includes a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, a fuel gauge, and auxiliary warning lights for the voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. Aftermarket gauges have been mounted underneath the dash, including an 8K-rpm Sunpro tachometer and readouts for the oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 16K miles, although the actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The YS-code 400ci V8 was rated at 335 horsepower and 431 lb-ft of torque when new and is fed by a Rochester Q-jet four-barrel carburetor with a stock air cleaner. Performance headers have been installed. Torque is shifted to the rear wheels via a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Steering is power-assisted. Stopping power comes from manual drum brakes.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The sale includes documentation from Pontiac Historic Services and a clean report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). The selling dealer has provided a video below that shows 360-degree exterior footage, the engine running, and a tour of the interior.
