OVERVIEW

This modified 1997 Ford Mustang GT coupe has been driven 41K miles since new and is powered by a Vortech-supercharged 4.6-liter Modular V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a Borla dual exhaust system. Handling has been enhanced with SR Performance lowering springs, upgraded anti-sway bars, and subframe connectors. The interior is fitted with gray leather bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, lower dash panels, center console, carpeting, and Mustang-branded floor mats. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, and a Mach 460 AM/FM/cassette/CD audio system.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation includes factory gauges for the 150-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. AutoMeter gauges have been added to the driver-side A-pillar and show the boost pressure, air/fuel ratio, and fuel pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 41,142 miles, which is in line with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The Vortech V2-supercharged 4.6-liter Modular V8 has been upgraded with a Setrab oil cooler, Taylor Cable Products wires, BBK headers, a BBK power and fuel pressure regulator, and a Borla exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission with a shift kit.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Handling is assisted by power steering; stopping power comes from power-assisted disc brakes. The suspension is equipped with SR Performance lowering springs, BBK Gripp upper strut tower adjusters, upgraded anti-sway bars, Southside Machine Performance (SSM) upper and lower rear control arms, and subframe connectors.
