Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This right-hand-drive 1955 Rover 60 four-door saloon was assembled in the United Kingdom and is powered by a 2,638cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It received recent mechanical work to the fuel system and features suicide doors, wooden interior trim, full gauges, and chrome brightwork. Finished in black over a gray and green vinyl interior, this Rover 60 is now offered with uninstalled parts, a tool kit, an owner's manual, service and ownership records, shipping documentation, and a clear California title in the seller’s name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This Rover 60 comes from a production run that began in late 1953 and ran through 1959. According to the seller, it has a rust-free body, which comes finished in black and equipped with rear-hinged rear doors and chrome brightwork for the bumpers, waterfall grille, door handles, rocker moldings, and other exterior trim.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Steel wheels with chrome center caps and trim rings are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The right-hand-drive interior is fitted with gray and green vinyl bench seats both front and rear along with coordinating door panels and carpeting. The cabin is accented with wood trim for the dash and the window frames. Amenities include a dash-mounted analog clock, door-mounted armrests, and vent windows.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of dual chrome-rimmed circular bezels and includes a 95-mph speedometer along with auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit analog odometer reads 72K miles, which the seller states is an accurate figure.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 2,638cc inline-four received recent work on its fuel lines and carburetor. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transmission with clutchless shifting.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The sale includes uninstalled parts, a tool kit, an owner's manual, service and ownership records, and shipping documentation.
